The Illinois State womens tennis team will head to Louisville, Ky., on Sunday, February 22, to take on the Cardinals of Louisville.
Head coach Chris Hoover thinks Louisville will be a challenging match for the Birds.
Louisville is a solid team all around and I wish we were able to play a match before them to warm us up, Hoover said. It will be a tough match, but I think well match up nicely against them.
The Cardinals are currently 9-4 this season and are coming off a win against IUPUI, 7-0. Louisville will play against DePaul in Chicago on Saturday, February 21, before facing off against Illinois State on Sunday.
The Birds will try to pick up a win after falling last week to No. 37 South Alabama. Their current record is 2-2 overall and 0-0 in the Valley
Action begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Lousiville, Ky.
