Arena Completion Project Gains Momentum with BOT Approval

With a unanimous vote Friday, the Illinois State Universitys Board of Trustees approved the construction of the Redbird Arena strength and conditioning center, the first phase of the Redbird Arena completion project. The 9500-square foot strength and conditioning facility will serve all 19 of Illinois States intercollegiate sports and more than 350 student-athletes. The project budget is not to exceed $1.5 million and is to be funded through gifts to Redefining normal: The Campaign for Illinois State University.
