Redbirds Sweep Weekly Valley Swimming and Diving Honors

Kyle Pullman and Krystal Featherston have been awarded Swimmer and Diver of the Week by the Missouri Valley Conference. The award is Pullmans first, and the first swimming honor earned by the Birds this season, while this is Featherstons fourth diving honor of the year. Pullman recorded a 24.71 to earn first-place in the 50 freestyle, while posting a 54.18 victory in the 100 freestyle at the Birds recent dual-meet win over the Phoenix of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Pullman also swam the first leg of the 400 freestyle relay that finished in a time of 3.37.13 to claim first-place. She currently holds the top 50 freestyle time in the Valley with a 23.82. Featherston claimed first-place in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at the same meet. She recorded scores of 243.15 on the 1-meter board, and 262.28 on the 3-meter. Featherston holds three Valley season-bests with a 254.99 in the 1-meter, a 264.30 in the three-meter and a 415.10 in the 3-meter, 11 dive event. Pullman, Featherston and the rest of the Redbird squad return to the water for the Valley Championship meet February 19-21.
