Samantha Richdale and the Illinois State womens golf team sit in tenth place after 36 holes at the Lady Moc Classic. Richdale led the Redbird charge with the second lowest round of the day (74) and has the Birds within eight shots of a top five finish with a two round total of 652 (330,322).
Richdales solid second round saw her jump from a 38th place tie individually, to sole possession of 15th place, and a two round total of 156 (82,74). Her effort in the second round helped drop the team score by eight shots.
Following Richdale in Illinois State scoring was fellow sophomore Ashlie Rose with an 81. Ashlee Johnson shot an 84 for the second straight day, while Kaila Fuller fired an 83 and Sarah Loomis rounded out the ISU scoring with an 85.
Rollins College took control of the top team spot with a strong 298 in round two, 18 shots lower than the next best score, and has a two round total of 604 (306,298). The Tars hold a 23 shot lead over Florida International and Florida Southern, who are tied for second place (627).
Freddie Seeholzer of Rollins College tops the individual leaderboard with a two day total of 148 (75,73). Round one leaders Pamela Feggans of Florida Southern and Jessica Trein of Daytona Beach each sit two shots back with 150.
The third and final round of the Lady Moc Classic tees off at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
