The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) named the 2003 Illinois State football game program as the best in Division I-AA on Monday, finishing ahead of second place Liberty and third place Youngstown State.
Illinois State media relations graduate assistants Heather Freehill, Aaron Johnston and Mike Krizman all received recognition by CoSIDA for their work on the program.
Contest winners were decided upon by three judges, which were coordinated by Carol White from the Auburn media relations office. Illinois State received scores of 230, 245, and 255 out of a possible 300 points awarded by each judge. Criteria for grading included team information, change pages, feature material, graphics and design and editorial content.
This is not the first time CoSIDA has recognized an Illinois State game day publication. The 2002 football program finished second in the nation, while the 1999-2000 and 2000-01 basketball programs were judged first.
