Anderson and Birds Improve in Final Round

Senior Brian Anderson moved from 47th to tie for 17th as the Illinois State mens golf team improved from a tie for 15th to a tie for 13th in the second, and final, round of the Arkansas State Indian Classic on Tuesday. Head Coach Harland Kilborn was happy with the efforts from Anderson and the team. Brian started out strong, and was able to have one of the top scores of the day, Kilborn said. Everybody played well today in conditions worse than yesterday and hit a solid score. Anderson (75-72=147) carded the third lowest score of the day with a 72, while all of the Birds contributed to a team score of 298, the fifth lowest team score in the final round.
