Golf slots are still open to play in a field with Illinois State University basketball coaches Porter Moser and Robin Pingeton in the 2004 Windy City Redbird Golf Classic June 24 at Bartlett Hills Golf Club.
Moser is a Chicagoland native beginning his second season as Redbird mens basketball coach. Pingeton, the 2004 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year, led the Redbird womens basketball team to one of the nations biggest turnarounds in her first season in Normal, going from seven wins in 2002-03 to 16 in 2003-04.
The Windy City Redbird Golf Classichas openings for golfers to be part of a day filled with fun, prizes and reunions of fans and friends. The four-person scramble begins with registration and a box lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 11:45 a.m. A buffet dinner, program, prizes and meeting with Redbird coaches and staff starts at 5 p.m.
Fees for the day are $150, which includes golf, cart, range pass, lunch dinner, gifts and prizes. Sponsorship packages are still available. Reservations must be made by June 15.
