Aug Hired as Assistant Ticket Manager

Jeff Aug, a native of Cincinnati, was recently hired as Assistant Ticket Manager at Illinois State University. Aug, who started his new position on July 14, is glad to be back in the Midwest and closer to home. Everyone on campus has been very welcoming and helpful in my move here to ISU, Aug said. I look forward to meeting our ticket holders and supporters, and enhancing our season, individual and group ticket sales efforts with our development and marketing departments. Aug, who graduated from Ohio University in 2003 with a bachelors degree in sport industry and a minor in business, recently worked in the ticket office at North Carolina State as a ticket sales assistant. While at NC State he performed ticket sales operations for the 2003 NCAA Womens Soccer College Cup, 2003 Tangerine Bowl, 2004 ACC Womens Basketball Tournament and the 2004 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament first and second rounds. In 2003, Aug worked for the Houston Aeros hockey club, a minor league hockey team, as a sales associate intern. There he generated and organized season and group ticket sales. He joined Don Schumacher and Associates in the summer of 2002, assisting in the planning, organizing and promoting of the nations largest high school football event at University of Cincinnatis Nippert Stadium. In the winter of 2002, Aug worked in the Ohio University Athletic Department assisting the Sports Information Coordinator. We are very excited to have added Jeff to our Redbird staff, said Assistant Athletics Director Leanna Bordner. Jeff has a wealth of experience from the minor leagues and the time he spent in the ACC. His background will only help us in prospecting and cultivating new ticket holders.
