Stevenson Joins Athletic Media Relations Staff

The Illinois State Athletic Media Relations Department has added another member as Lyndsey Stevenson has been named graduate assistant for the 2004-2005 year. Stevenson, who has worked as an intern in the media relations office over the summer, will serve as the primary contact for Illinois State soccer. The Olney, Ill., native comes to Illinois State after completing her undergraduate degree at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She has a B.S. in communication with a minor in sport management. While at SEMO, Stevenson was a four-year letter-winner on the track and field team, competing in hurdle and relay events. She was a member of the Deans List and was named a scholar-athlete all four years. In addition to her accomplishments on the track and in the classroom, Stevenson also found time to work as a student-assistant in the SEMO sports information department, serving as the primary contact for track and field. Im really excited to be here at Illinois State and I look forward to the next two years in the media relations office, said Stevenson. After completing my internship this summer, I knew that it was great fit for me here. Lyndsey is a great addition to an already efficient staff, said Assistant Athletics Director of Media Relations Todd Kober. Her desktop publishing and design skills are impeccable and will compliment our award-winning publications team nicely. Stevenson, whose younger sister Sara is a sophomore on the ISU womens basketball team, will now work towards her masters degree in sport management.
