The Missouri Valley Conference awarded two Redbirds its cross country athlete of the week honors Tuesday with senior Laura Kennedy and junior Jeremy Doherty taking home the accolades.
Doherty and Kennedy both clocked the fastest times in the Valley last weekend, in the 5K and 8K, competing at the Bradley Invite in Peoria, Ill.
Kennedy achieved the fastest 5K time in the Valley last week during the Bradley Invite at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
