Illinois State head baseball coach Jim Brownlee and his staff are set to begin the first of their 2004-2005 instructional hitting clinics in less than three weeks and there are limited spots remaining for session one.
The clinics will consist of four or six one-hour sessions, with each session including individual instruction, as well as hitting games. Statistics and standings will be recorded during the games so participants may chart their progress and improvement from week to week.
Session one will begin on Sunday, October 17 and run every Sunday for six weeks until November 21. The session is split into three age groups: ages 8-11 - 2:00-3:00 p.m., ages 12-14 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., ages 15-18 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Session two will begin on January 16 and run on Sundays until February 13. There will be no clinic on January 30. The session times for this clinic are as followed: ages 8-11 - 5:00-6:00 p.m., ages 12-14 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., ages 15-18 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The registration for session one will close on October 14, while the deadline to get in session two is January 13. The cost is $120 for session one, $80 for session two or $175 for both.
In addition to the individual instruction, each participant will receive a clinic t-shirt and a personal evaluation by a member of the staff.
