The annual Notre Dame Relays allow the Birds to enter only one team for each relay, making it hard for head coach
Steve Paska to decide who will compete in each event.
This is our sixth year attending the Notre Dame Relays, said Paska. The main objective is to put the fastest team together for every swimming event.
We will be looking at the results from the Red/White Scrimmage along with practices this week and choose who our strongest competitors are and go from there, Paska added.
In the diving event, two divers are entered to compete for the Birds, making the choice for head diving coach Carly Weiden quite difficult since all but one of her divers are returnees from the 2003-2004 season.
Practice and previous seasons will determine who will dive for a score at the event on Friday, Weiden said. Everyone will be able to dive, but its just for exhibition, not for a score.
The Redbirds will kick off the competition at 6:30 p.m.
