The Illinois State womens tennis team will compete in its first home match of the spring Friday against DePaul at the Evergreen Racquet Club. Head coach Chris Hoover said the team is excited to take on the Blue Demons, and knows a challenge lies ahead.
Were going to have to play really well to beat DePaul, said Hoover. They always present a tough challenge for us, and were ranked very closely with them in our region right now.
The last couple of times weve played them weve gotten away with a win, Hoover continued. So theyre probably coming in here with revenge on their minds. But if we can put it together and come to play, we have a good chance to take this one too.
Tennis action is slated to get underway at 7 p.m.
