Session 2 of Baseball Hitting Clinic Filling Up Fast

Nov. 1, 2005

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State baseball head coach Jim Brownlee and staff must be doing something right with their Instructional Hitting Clinic, as all the spots for the Session 2 high school age division have been filled two months before the deadline of January 11th.

Even though the high school age division is booked, Session 2 of the clinic is still open to elementary and junior high age participants, with each group having their own time slot for each camp session. However, if the high school age group is any indication, then these two divisions will also fill up quickly before the registration deadline.

Session 1 has been a success to date and will end on Monday, November 21st. However, coach Brownlee and his staff will conduct another session beginning January 15th. The clinic begins with instruction from the ISU coaching staff and ends with hitting games for participants. Participants will also receive a clinic T-shirt and be provided with evaluations of their performance throughout the session at the end of the clinic.

Registration forms can be downloaded and printed from the Illinois State Athletics website at www.GoRedbirds.com. Simply click on the "Camps" link on the homepage and select Baseball Instructional Hitting Clinic. For further information on the clinics, please contact assistant baseball coach Seth Kenny by phone at (309)-438-3338 or by e-mail at sakenny@ilstu.edu.
