Because of their outstanding play and senior leadership, Taylor Casement and Heather Forsyth were the two representatives from the Illinois State women's soccer team named to the State Farm MVC All-Tournament Team.
Casement and Forsyth led the `Birds to a fourth-place Valley regular season finish. Defeating Indiana State at home on October 30 to advance to the tournament semifinals, Illinois State ended its season with a 2-1 lost to Drake on Friday, November 4.
Casement started 16 of the Redbird's 19 games and recorded nine shots on the year, a career-high for the senior captain.
Forsyth, named on Thursday as the league MVP, led the team in goals with eight and notched 17 total points on the year. She scored the `Birds' lone goal against Drake in the State Farm MVC Tournament semifinals.
The 13-member All-Tournament squad was selected by league coaches and was announced by the Valley at the conclusion of Sunday's championship game.
