It is no surprise that the Illinois State athletics department is eager to show off the recently completed Richard and Fran Owen Strength and Conditioning Center, as the largest of its kind in the Missouri Valley Conference, and thats exactly the case with the announcement of a public open house.
On Saturday, following the completion of the annual Red-White Football Spring Game, there will be a public tour from 4:30-5:30 p.m. of the Redbirds newly finished state-of-the-art facility.
Patrons are asked to enter Redbird Arena at the northeast tunnel and follow the signs to view the 9,200-square foot facility, the first phase of the Redbird Arena Completion Project.
