Megan Rozboril, a standout tennis player at Bloomington High School, has signed a national letter of intent to continue her education and tennis career at Illinois State University.
Rozboril has enjoyed a successful career at BHS, including a No. 1 doubles title at the Big 12 Conference Tournament pairing with Mackenzie Clemens her senior year. 2004 marked the fourth championship in four years for Rozboril, as she and Clemens finished the year with an intercity leading 33-8 record.
Head coach Chris Hoover is excited to sign Rozboril to the 2005-2006 roster.
Were definitely excited Megan has decided to become a Redbird, said Hoover. Its taken me 11 years, but Ive finally been able to tap into the BHS tennis program. They have such a successful program and winning tradition at Bloomington, and were glad to have a player who has been a big part of that for the last four years.
Hoover cited Rozborils doubles play as an area she could have an immediate impact on the team.
Megan has had great success at Bloomington, especially in doubles, said Hoover. I think she could come in right away and help with our doubles, and definitely have a chance to compete for a singles spot in our line-up.
Rozboril will join the Redbird tennis squad in the fall of 2005.
