Although some information lists a different closing date, girls basketball players and teams still have until May 20 to enroll in Robin Pingetons 2005 Redbird Basketball Camps. With the Redbirds 2005 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship and subsequent NCAA Tournament bid, the camps are growing in popularity, but still have room for more campers.
The Shooting and Position Camp is open to girls entering 3rd-through-12th grades and takes place June 4 at Redbird Arena. Cost is $85.
The Early Bird Shootout is open to varsity and junior varsity teams June 15-16. Cost is $360 per team for six games in two days.
The Individual Camp is open to girls entering 3rd-through-12th grades and takes place June 12-14. Cost for resident campers is $210; $180 for commuters.
Pingeton, the 2005 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association College Coach of the Year, and her experienced staff of assistant coaches, trainers and counselors provide campers with individual attention, special programs, plus competition and prizes.
