When Dr. Sheahon Zenger accepted the Illinois State University Athletics Directors post, he expressed a goal to spend 50 percent of his time getting out to meet people on campus, in the community and across the state of Illinois. Without a doubt, he is getting an early start on that effort.
Central Illinois Redbird fans can meet and greet Zenger Thursday evening at Schooners Pub in Bloomington.
In addition to visiting with Redbird fans, he also will be sitting down for a one-on-one interview with WJBC Sports Director Greg Halbleib. The interview will air live from Schooners on WJBC, AM 1230, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Zenger comes to Illinois State from Kansas State University, where he was an associate athletics director since 2002. His appointment at Illinois State was announced April 26 for a June 1 start.
