Matt Miller was named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for his effort at the Roadrunner Intercollegiate hosted by Texas-San Antonio. The Illinois State junior fired a three-under-par 68 in the first-round and finished the tournament in second-place with a three-round total of three-under-par 210 (68, 70, 72) at the Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. This is Miller's third career MVC Player of the Week honor.
Miller's play led the `Birds to a fifth-place finish at the tournament as the team shot a three-round total of 882 (297, 291, 294) and finishing ahead of Missouri Valley Conference members Wichita State and Northern Iowa.
Miller and the Redbirds travel to Naples, Fla., on February 27th-28th to play in the Lexus Naples Intercollegiate hosted by PGA Tour professional Peter Jacobsen.
