NORMAL, Ill. -
The baseball game between the Illinois State Redbirds and the Missouri Tigers scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed due to the snowfall that blanketed Redbird Field on Tuesday. The game has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3.
This will be the `Birds fourth game that has been cancelled or postponed due to weather, as the team missed out on its scheduled season-opening three-game tournament in Arlington, Texas, due to weather delays at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
ISU will return to action on Friday for its Missouri Valley Conference opener with the Northern Iowa Panthers. Friday's game will be the first of three over the weekend between the two games and the first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Redbird Field.
