Head coach Jim Brownlee quotes:
Opening statement:
"The thing that's most disappointing is that we've faced left-handers on the mound the past three Saturday's and our lineup has not produced at all. Obviously, we have to figure out a lineup where we can be effective offensively against lefties and we will try to do that this week. But, it's been a tough two games here and now we have to get the win tomorrow to not get swept."
On the offensive production by Indiana State:
"They've always had a good approach at the plate and they really had it dialed in today. The concentrated on hitting the ball hard up the middle and did that well. That's something that we stress to our hitters and they showed how that can be a very effective offensive philosophy."
On Ian Berger's pitching performance:
"Ian just didn't have it today, which happens. It was just one of those days where everything he threw around the plate got hit hard. Ian needs to just forget about today, take his beating in stride, and come out the next time and show what kind of talent he has."
On tomorrow's game:
"Tomorrow's game is critical for both teams. It's important for us to get a win and stay even in the conference and it will be big for Indiana State to try to get the series sweep and jump to the front of the standings in the Valley."
