First round action of the Austin Peay State University Intercollegiate was cut short in round one after just seven holes Monday, and play was unable to resume, as heavy rains and brisk temperatures took hold and refused to relent.
First-round action was halted early in the afternoon Monday and steady rain continued through the night and into the morning. The entire event was cancelled just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The Redbirds are back in action Oct. 5-6, as they compete in the Sam H. Hall intercollegiate hosted by Southern Mississippi at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.
