WJBC 1230-AM, Bloomington, Illinois State's flagship radio station, will carry the "Sharon Dingman Show" live next Tuesday (Nov. 13) at Cheek's Bar and Grill from 6-7 p.m. Seniors Kristin Dziubla and Kari Staehlin will join Dingman for the second show of the 2007 season.
In conjunction, from 7-8 p.m., head women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton, along with selected players, will be in attendance for "Meet the Redbirds," a special edition of the Spread the Red Weekly.
The ISU volleyball team will wrap up its Missouri Valley Conference regular season slate against Evansville (Nov. 16) and Southern Illinois (Nov. 17) next weekend. The Redbirds will be looking to qualify for their league-high 26th consecutive State Farm MVC Tournament (Nov. 23-24) in Springfield, Mo., over Thanksgiving weekend.
The Redbird women's basketball team will open the regular season Sunday at Eastern Illinois. ISU went 2-0 in its two exhibition games, with wins over Northwest Missouri State and Upper Iowa.
