The Illinois State women's tennis team's match originally set for February 17 against UIC, has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 15, at noon in Normal, Ill. at the McCormick Courts. The contest against the Flames was postponed earlier due to inclement weather.
The Flames, who have captured 10 straight Horizon League championships and have made eight-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, are currently 6-6 and had their six-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday in a 5-2 loss at Eastern Michigan.
The Redbirds are 5-6 after snapping their four-match losing skid on Sunday with a 6-1 victory over UW-Milwaukee.
Illinois State begins its quest for a fifth-consecutive Missouri Valley Conference championship on Thursday against in-state rival Bradley in Peoria. Ill. First serve between the `Birds and the Braves is set for 3 p.m.
