NORMAL, Ill. -
As feared, spring showers have altered the Illinois State football team's spring practice. Friday morning's heavy rain not only washed out the day's practice, but also Saturday's session. As a result, the Redbirds will try to kick off their spring practice on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Redbirds were originally scheduled to practice on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend, but make-up dates for the lost practices on Friday and Saturday have not officially been rescheduled.
The practices are going to be conducted on the grass practice field this spring, due to the turf replacement at Hancock Stadium.
