NORMAL, Ill. -
The freezing temperatures are again wreaking havoc on the Illinois State softball schedule as the Redbirds were forced to cancel today's 5 p.m., matchup against Northern Illinois.
Coming just six days after the postponement of last weekend's Missouri Valley Conference season with Bradley, Illinois State cancelled its second game of the year. The game will not be rescheduled because of conflicting schedules for the remainder of the 2007 season.
The Redbirds will take to the road this weekend, heading to Des Moines, Iowa, for the first three-game series of an eight game road swing. ISU will be playing a Valley set against the Drake Bulldogs, beginning with a Saturday, April 14 doubleheader at noon.
