NORMAL, Ill. -
Heavy rain in the area has forced Friday's Illinois State baseball game against Saint Xavier to be postponed. The game, which was supposed to be played at 6 p.m., will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday at Redbird Field beginning at 1 p.m.
The teams will play two, nine-inning contests in non-conference action in the doubleheader. Senior right-hander Mike Hlavacek (2-2) will start the first game for ISU while freshman left-hander Ryan Copeland (3-2) will start the back half of the doubleheader, which will start approximately a half hour after the completion of the first contest. Sunday's series finale is still scheduled for 1 p.m.
