Aug. 24, 2007

WINNIPEG, Canada - Kevin Glenn, former Illinois State quarterback, completed 4-of-5 passes on Winnipeg's final drive, which resulted in a game-winning 28-yard field goal with seven seconds on the clock. The three-point kick gave the Bombers a 15-13 victory over Toronto in Canadian Football League action Friday night at Canad Inns Stadium.

With the win, the Bombers improved to 5-2-1 on the season and remain in first place in the East Division.

Glenn passed for 299 yards without a touchdown or interception. He completed 21-of-35 pass attempts.

Winnipeg's 1-0 lead in the first quarter was the only point in the frame. Toronto took a 10-9 advantage at the half, before leading 13-9 through three quarters. A pair of Rob Pikula field goals in the final quarter resulted in another come-from-behind win for Winnipeg. Glenn's final drive covered 69 yards in seven plays, while only 1:31 ticked off the clock.

Glenn's teammate, former Redbird Sam Young, finished with one tackle.

Winnipeg returns to action Sunday, Sept. 2, when it travels to Glenn's former team, Saskatchewan, for a 3 p.m. CT kickoff.
