Despite Illinois State's season-opening 27-24 defeat to Drake last Thursday, the Redbirds continued their run in the nationally recognized top-25 polls.
In the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Coaches Poll, the Redbirds dropped to No. 18, after beginning the season at the No. 8 spot. ISU also had the biggest dip in The Sports Network poll, falling 10 spots to No. 17.
Including the pre and postseason polls, the Redbirds have now been ranked in the top-25 for 19-straight weeks.
The Redbirds will attempt to even their overall record Saturday at Hancock Stadium. ISU hosts Murray State and kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
