Robinson, Grigsby See Action in NFL's Week Four

Sept. 30, 2007

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football program had a pair of alumni taking part in Sunday's NFL action, as Laurént Robinson returned to Atlanta's starting lineup at wide receiver and Boomer Grigsby saw his first action of the season with Kansas City.

Robinson was the Falcons second-leading receiver in the 26-16 victory over Houston, in Atlanta's first win of the season. The 2005 Gateway Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year caught every ball thrown his way and finished with four catches for 31 yards, including his longest catch of 14 yards.

Grigsby, the three-time Gateway Defensive Player of the Year, led the Chiefs in special teams tackles in the 30-16 win at San Diego. He collected a solo stop on both kickoff and punt return coverages. The win upped the Chiefs record to 2-2 on the year.

Brent Hawkins and the Jacksonville Jaguars had a bye week, while former Redbird Aveion Cason was released by the Detroit Lions on Sept. 25.
