ISU Basketball Luncheons to Support Camp Limberlost

Jan. 16, 2008

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State Athletics, the Bloomington Kiwanis Club and the DoubleTree Hotel have partnered to host two ISU men's basketball coaches' luncheons in February.

The luncheons, which will each be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, in Bloomington, Ill., in the conferencing center, will feature Illinois State head men's basketball coach Tim Jankovich and a special guest. At the first event, Feb. 13, Missouri State head coach Barry Hinson will be on hand, while Creighton head coach Dana Altman will be the guest Feb. 27.

Both luncheons will begin at noon, and all profits will be donated to Camp Limberlost, the oldest continuous resident camp in the State of Illinois and the oldest continuous project in all of Kiwanis International. A meal and drink will be provided with the price of admission.

Tickets, which are $15 per seat for each luncheon, are available for purchase at the Redbird Arena Ticket Office. Tables, which seat 10, are also available to purchase for $125. Each patron must have a ticket to be admitted.

Dick Luedke, the radio voice of the Redbirds, will emcee the Feb. 13 event, while WMBD sports director Kurt Pegler will serve as the host of the Feb. 27 luncheon.

Seating is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to order tickets for the Feb. 13 luncheon is Feb. 6, while the Feb. 27 luncheon must be paid for by Feb. 20.
