Monday was Thanksgiving Day in Canada and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have to be thankful that former Illinois State linebacker Cameron Siskowic is off the practice squad and starting in the middle of the Ticat defense. Siskowic has posted a combined 17 tackles in the last two games, but it wasn't enough Monday as the Tiger-Cats were routed 42-11 in a rematch against division-leading Montreal in Canadian League Football (CFL) action at Percival Molson Stadium.
With the loss, Hamilton was eliminated from playoff contention for the seventh time in the last eight seasons. Siskowic's nine tackles was the second-highest total by a Tiger-Cat, only behind Markeith Knowlton's 11 stops.
The Tiger-Cats return to action Sunday when they travel to Saskatchewan.
