Grigsby Joins Pegler for ISU Homecoming Telecast

Oct. 14, 2008

NORMAL, Ill. - Former Illinois State linebacker and three-time All-American Boomer Grigsby will return to Hancock Stadium Saturday in a new role. Grigsby will join WMBD Sports Director Kurt Pegler in the television booth for Comcast Spotlight's telecast of the ISU-Missouri State football game. The game, which kicks off at 2 p.m., will be available on channel 74 in both the Bloomington-Normal and Peoria areas.

Grigsby played three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and most recently with the Miami Dolphins, after claiming the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Defensive Player of the Year Award three times as a standout with the Redbirds. In addition to Pegler and Grigsby, and adding insight from the sidelines will be Bob Morris, the analyst for Redbird basketball television productions on Comcast Spotlight.

Channel 74 is available to all Comcast customers in those areas as part of the "Classic" level of service. In addition, Mediacom in central Illinois will also televise the game on channel 78, except for patrons in the Chillicothe, Ill., area, where the game will be shown on channel 22.
