With a large crowd expected at the Illinois State football team's 2008 Family Day game Saturday at 1:30 p.m. versus Youngstown State, the Illinois State Athletics Department will look to keep the big-crowd momentum going later that same day with its annual "Pack the Arena" promotion during the ISU volleyball team's 7:05 p.m. matchup against Wichita State. Admission will be free to the match to any fan presenting a "Pack the Arena" coupon.
Free admission coupons for the event can be picked up at any of the following locations in Bloomington-Normal.: Alamo II Bookstore, Arby's, Hanson's Dry Cleaners, McDonald's, Papa John's Radio Bloomington, Taco Bell. In addition, fans can also pick up "Pack the Arena" coupons at any of this weekend's slate of Redbird Athletics events, which include Friday night's volleyball match versus Missouri State and Saturday afternoon's football game against Youngstown State.
"Pack the Arena" is a great way to get fans out to see some exciting Redbird volleyball action," said Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Promotions Brad Ledford. "Coming off a big Family Day game Saturday afternoon for football, we look forward to welcoming many of those fans into Redbird Arena to watch the Illinois State volleyball team take on Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State in an action-packed match."
