Former Illinois State linebacker Cameron Siskowic earned his first career start in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and responded with a team-high six tackles and one quarterback sack in Hamilton's 44-36 victory over Montreal Saturday night. In other CFL action, former Redbird Kevin Glenn and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers fell 36-22 in a rematch against last week's opponent Edmonton.
Glenn passed for 343 yards and a touchdown on 22-for-36 passing, but it wasn't enough to overcome Edmonton's 31-point second quarter. With the loss, the Blue Bombers fell to 5-9 on the season and snapped their three-game win streak. Hamilton improved to 3-11 on the season.
Glenn and Bombers return to action Friday when they host Toronto, while Siskowic and the Ti-Cats will have a rematch at Montreal Oct. 13.
