NORMAL, Ill. -
The Illinois State athletics department and Buffalo Wild Wings announced Thursday their partnership for the 2008-09 Redbird Basketball "Honorary Ball Kid" program. Twenty honorary ball kids, for either a men's or women's basketball game, will be selected, in conjunction with Buffalo Wild Wings' Kid's Day event on Nov. 15.
Interested participants can visit GoRedbirds.com, complete the registration form, and return it to Buffalo Wild Wings at 3220 E. Empire in Bloomington. Then, registrants are invited to attend Kid's Day at the restaurant, Nov. 15, beginning at 3 p.m. A special drawing will be held to declare the winners. Registration forms can also be picked up on site at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Winners must be present at the drawing to select his or her honorary game assignment. They will also receive a free "Ball Kid" t-shirt, a photo with Reggie Redbird and two free tickets to their designated game.
"Buffalo Wild Wings is excited to be the official sponsor of the Redbird Basketball Ball Kids program," said Casie Vogelsang, Buffalo Wild Wings general manager. "We are looking forward to a fun event on November 15th, and hope everyone will come out for their chance to win a spot as an Honorary Ball Kid. This is also a great way for us to show our support of the Redbird men's and women's basketball teams, and wish them the best of luck in their upcoming seasons."
Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Promotions Brad Ledford is excited to have Buffalo Wild Wings involved with the "Honorary Ball Kid" program.
"We are proud to partner with Buffalo Wild Wings for our continually growing Ball Kid program, and thanks to both Casie (Yogelsang) and Redbird Athletics Assistant Marketing Director Mark Newton for their hard work during this process," said Ledford. "It is a great way for kids in the local community to feel the excitement of game-day at Redbird Arena, and get an up-close look at two exciting college basketball teams."
Reggie's Kids Club renewals and new membership forms will be available at the Buffalo Wild Wings Kid's Day event. They are also being accepted through the Redbird Athletic Ticket Office, or on GoRedbirds.com, by clicking on the Reggie's Kids Club banner along the right side.
