Modupe Will Not Return to ISU

NORMAL, Ill. - True freshman Ty Modupe has opted not to return to Illinois State University or the men's basketball team following Christmas break.

"We appreciate his efforts at Illinois State and wish Ty nothing but the best of luck in his future endeavors," said ISU head basketball coach Tim Jankovich.

Modupe did not see any action this season, after playing two minutes and scoring one point in the Redbirds' exhibition victory over Illinois-Springfield. He is from Topeka, Kan., and attended Highland Park High School.
