NORMAL, Ill. - Join the Illinois State volleyball team for a celebration at Redbird Arena on Sunday, Jan. 25, to commemorate the Redbirds' 2008 season. Admission is free to the public, and there will be complimentary snacks and drinks provided by the Illinois State Athletics Department. The Redbird Arena doors will open at 2:30 p.m., and the party will go from 3-4 p.m.
Head coach Melissa Myers, her coaching staff and ISU volleyball student-athletes will all be on hand to relive all of the memories from the past season, including the team's 33rd winning season in 36 years of volleyball, and a berth in the State Farm MVC Tournament for the 27th-consecutive season - a Valley record.
There is no registration or RSVP required for the event, and free parking will be available in the Turner Lot on the east side of Redbird Arena and in all West Campus parking lots. A highlight video of the season will be shown and the annual Redbird volleyball awards will be presented, all wrapped around multiple opportunities to meet and greet Redbird players and staff.
