The Illinois State softball team will wait a week to begin Missouri Valley Conference play as the three-game series against Creighton, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Redbird Softball Complex, has been postponed due to playing conditions.
The series against the Bluejays, which will be reduced to a two-game series, has been rescheduled for April 21 at the Redbird Softball Complex with the first game beginning at noon and the second at 2 p.m.
The Redbirds will open up Valley play March 21 at Missouri State, but will try to play its home opener Tuesday against Illinois at 6:30 p.m.
