Redbirds' Home Opener Postponed, Doubleheader Set for Saturday

NORMAL, Ill. - Due to unfavorable conditions at Duffy Bass Field, the Illinois State baseball team's home opener Friday against Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State has been postponed. The game, which was slated to begin at 3 p.m., will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m.

Junior Jim Sajewich will start game one Saturday, while sophomore Ryan Copeland will take the mound in game two, which is scheduled to begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first contest.
