Sunday's Series-Opener Against Bradley Cancelled

April 13, 2008

NORMAL, Ill. - Due to inclement weather that persists in the central Illinois area, the Illinois State softball team's series-opener against Missouri Valley Conference foe Bradley, originally scheduled to be played at 2 p.m. Sunday in Peoria, Ill., has been cancelled and will not be made up.

This marks the second-straight year that the Redbirds-Braves series has been postponed and shortened to an abbreviated two-game conference series due to weather. Last year, ISU's three-game Valley set against Bradley at the Redbird Softball Complex was shortened to just two games due to cold temperatures in the Bloomington-Normal, Ill., area.

The Redbirds and Braves will now play a doubleheader at 4 p.m. Monday at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria, Ill.
