Even though the Illinois State football team's season opener is still 130 days away, patrons looking to purchase 2008 season tickets will only have to wait six more days for the excitement to begin. The Illinois State Athletics Department is offering a rewards drawing for online season ticket orders beginning April 28, on GoRedbirds.com.
Season tickets are available for $66 each at GoRedbirds.com, and the rewards drawing is open for both online renewal and new online season ticket customers. The first prize, which is a trip for two to an away football game, will be announced on the department Web site May 1.
On May 5, the winner of four free football season tickets will be announced. The third prize, a $100 gift certificate to the D.A. Weibring Golf Club Pro Shop, will be named May 8, while the recipient of $50 worth of concession gift certificates will be unveiled May 10.
For questions regarding the drawing or season tickets, please call the Redbird Arena Ticket Office at 309/438-8000. However, in order to qualify for the rewards drawing, all season tickets must be purchased at GoRedbirds.com.
