NORMAL, Ill. -
Due to the threat of inclement weather in the Central Illinois area, the Illinois State baseball team will now play a doubleheader against Missouri Valley Conference rival Southern Illinois Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m. at Duffy Bass Field. The Redbirds and Salukis were originally slated to play three games in three days, with the finale scheduled to start Sunday (April 11) at 1 p.m.
Sunday's Senior Day festivities will now be held Saturday, along with the originally scheduled Sponsor Appreciation Day. All mothers will also receive free admission to the games Saturday at Duffy Bass Field.
Friday's game will still start at its originally scheduled time (6 p.m.).
