NORMAL, Ill. -
Illinois State Athletics and WJBC 1230-AM, Bloomington, the flagship radio station for the Redbirds, announced its broadcast schedule for the 2008 volleyball season Tuesday, a slate that includes at least eight live on-air matches.
The play-by-play voices will be WJBC sports director Greg Halbleib and former ISU sports information director Tom Lamonica. Halbleib is entering his second-consecutive season broadcasting Redbird volleyball matches.
Matches scheduled to be broadcast live on WJBC are as follows: Oct. 3 at Missouri State; Oct. 18 at SIU-Edwardsville; Nov. 1 vs. Wichita State; Nov. 7 at Drake; Nov. 8 at Creighton; Nov. 13 vs. Indiana State; Nov. 21 vs. Southern Illinois, and Nov. 22 vs. Evansville.
The remainder of ISU's 30-match regular season schedule will be aired live on wjbc.com. Scheduled programming is subject to change. Airing options for the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament (Nov. 26-29) at Wichita State's Charles Koch Arena is yet to be determined.
