With the game decided, former Illinois State quarterback Kevin Glenn returned to the field for the first time in three games in Winnipeg's 39-11 loss against Montreal Friday night at Canad Inns Stadium in Canadian Football League action.
Glenn, who was benched three weeks ago, resumed control of the Blue Bomber offense late in the fourth quarter with Winnipeg trailing 29-4. The 2007 East Division Player of the Year led the Bombers on a 7-play, 80-yard scoring drive for their only touchdown of the game. Glenn connected with Derick Armstrong on a 7-yard scoring pass with 5:28 left in the fourth quarter.
Glenn completed 8-of-12 passes for 80 yards. With the loss, Winnipeg fell to 1-6 on the season, and 0-4 in the division. The Blue Bombers will host Hamilton Aug. 14, for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
