Redbirds-Braves Series
Illinois State leads the all-time series with Bradley, 40-7. The series began in 1983 and the Redbirds won the first 14 meetings. Bradley won three-straight matches from 2001-02, the only time the Braves have won consecutive matches in the series. The Redbirds have won seven-straight matches, five in three sets.
Redbirds-Panthers Series
Northern Iowa leads the all-time series with Illinois State, 35-19. The series began in 1982 and the two teams split the first 20 meetings. Since 1995, UNI is 23-10 against ISU, with nine of those wins coming when the Panthers are nationally-ranked. The Redbirds beat the eighth-ranked Panthers in 2003.
Leggett Looks For Century Club
Junior Mallory Leggett is on the verge of a historic achievement of her own. Leggett enters the Bradley-UNI weekend on the cusp of becoming the 18th member of the ISU 1,000 kill club. Leggett has 953 career kills, amassing more than 350 kills in her first two seasons and leading the team with 206 this season.
Closing In On 300
Illinois State comes into the Bradley-Northern Iowa weekend with 294 all-time wins in Valley play. The Redbirds are on the verge of becoming just the second team to reach 300 Valley wins, joining Northern Iowa (332). Missouri State has 293 Valley wins. Illinois State is 294-97 all-time in Valley play.
