Tis the season of giving, and what's a better gift than the opportunity to see Illinois State men's and women's basketball live and in person on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. And to help in the financial burden, the Illinois State Athletics Department has unveiled its special ticket pricing for the holiday season.
ISU Athletics will host a pair of free online ticket promotions this season. The first is for the Redbird women's game against South Dakota State, Nov. 19, at 7:05 p.m. Patrons are asked to order there free tickets at GoRedbirds.com, and enter the promo code HOME. There is a four ticket limit per customer.
Fans of the men's basketball team will have the same opportunity during the Basketball Travelers Classic at Redbird Arena from Nov. 27-29. Just click the ticket link on GoRedbirds.com and enter the promo code THANKS and customers will be able to receive two free tickets to one of the three tournament sessions.
With the new ticket scanners at Redbird Arena, fans now have the ability to print their tickets at home, much like any other concert or airplane ticket. As a result, these promo code promotions are only available on GoRedbirds.com at not at the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office.
In addition, ISU Athletics is also going to offer special holiday ticket pricing. Upper bowl tickets will be available for $5 each for the men's basketball games against Grambling State (Dec. 22) and Wichita State (Dec. 29), which is the Missouri Valley Conference opener for the Redbirds.
There will be $3 general admission tickets for sale, as well, for the ISU women's basketball games against DePaul (Dec. 28), Drake (Dec. 31) and Creighton (Jan. 2), which was tabbed as the league's favorite in the Valley's Preseason Poll.
