The Illinois State men's basketball conducted an open scrimmage in front of 1,000 fans on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena Wednesday afternoon. The Redbirds went head-to-head over four quarters with the first three being eight minutes in length and the final quarter lasting four minutes. The final result saw the Black team post a 70-53 win over the Red team, as each team changed rosters throughout the workout.

Senior Lloyd Phillips led all scorers with 16 points, while Dinma Odiakosa tossed in 15 points and Osiris Eldridge scored 14. Other players in double-digit scoring included Terry Johnson (13), Austin Hill (12), Blake Mishler (10), Kellen Thornton (10) and Tony Lewis (10).

Combined the Redbirds were 10-for-24 from three-point range and 47-for-95 from the field. Illinois State will hold its first exhibition game Nov. 11, when the Redbirds host Quincy.
