After Illinois State's 75-62 win over Central Michigan, which pushed the Redbirds' record to 7-0 this season, the men's basketball received three votes in this week's Associated Press Top-25 poll.
According to the Associated Press Web site, the Redbirds maintained its No. 24 ranking from Steve DeShazo (The Free Lance Star-Fredericksburg) and received a No. 25 vote from John Bohnenkamp (The Burlington Hawk Eye).
Illinois State will be back in action Sunday, when the Redbirds host Niagara on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena for a 2:05 p.m. start. The Purple Eagles posted a 70-56 win over Illinois State last season in Niagara, as part of the ESPN BracketBusters series.
ISU, which received votes in last weeks USA Today/Coaches Poll, did not receive any coaches' poll votes this week.
